Urban Greening is a community gardening group in Montpelier, Bristol. We’re all locals, all volunteers and all about increasing the tree coverage, growing skills and edible planting in Montpelier. We’re currently tending five main sites across Montpelier, and are always keen to hear from folks who’d like to give it a whirl. Donations of plants, seedlings, seeds, compost and time are very welcome.
If you’d like to help make a positive contribution to your community, whilst having a bit of a blether, we run workdays on the first Saturday of the month from 11am in Montpelier Park. Over 100 volunteers joined in on our workdays last year, and between us we started five different sites and planted over 500 trees. Everyone is welcome to join in, no gardening or volunteering experience is needed and you can stay for as long as you like. Bring gloves if you have them!
