Roll up! Free loft insulation, delivered to your door

As temperatures outside keep dropping, now is the time to brush up on your DIY skills and take action to shore up your home for the cold winter ahead.
And what better way to start than with CSE’s ambitious DIY loft insulation scheme?
Up to 1,000 Bristol homeowners and privately-renting tenants can take action through the scheme to install or simply top-up their lofts with Rockwool insulation and all completely free, representing a huge saving of hundreds of pounds for most residents.
Not only that, but they’ll even deliver the insulation and necessary DIY kit direct to your home.
And, as the picture below shows, to top-up lofts to the recommended depth of 270mm most homes would need between 25 and 35 hefty rolls of insulation – which should save people an awful lot of round trips to the DIY store.
With almost half of the measures have already gone, so Bristol residents will need to act quickly to ensure they can feel the benefits which come with insulating their loft – including keeping warm and cutting fuel bills.
The scheme is open to everyone in Bristol who owns or rents a private domestic property that has not previously had funding for insulation. It’s funded by Bristol City Council and npower, with support from Wolseley builders’ suppliers.
