Carriageworks update and call for help

The Carriageworks on Stokes Croft is the centre of a community consultation right now and needs your support. You can help by:

  1. Fill in the survey which will be put through everyone’s doors in the next few days
  2. Offer to help with doing the survey itself

Below is the latest information and request for help from Julian the consultation facilitator - If you or someone you know can help out please email Julian the consultation facilitator with name, contact details and times you’ll be available.

As you probably know, the consultation on the community vision for the Carriageworks and Westmoreland House is getting underway.

We will be starting with a press launch on Friday 16th September, and then on Saturday 17th from 10am to 1pm we are planning to have people out on Stokes Croft and around asking passers-by what they think the future of the buildings and site should be.

We really need your help in making this survey happen.

If you or your friends or family can help, even if only for a couple of hours, it will really help engage the public in preparing the community vision.

The questionnaire will be the one from the leaflet that will be going through doors in a week’s time. So quick to complete. We will be giving all the volunteers a Carriageworks T shirt to wear, and stickers to show that people have answered the questions. And there’ll be free coffee or tea at Cafe Kino afterwards.

If you or someone you know can help out please email Julian the consultation facilitator with name, contact details and times you’ll be available. Ideally we need about a dozen people, working in Stokes Croft and the streets around.

To help you prepare, we will be running a briefing session on Wednesday 14th Sept at 5:30pm in Café Kino on Stokes Croft. It won’t take long, but will help you understand what you need to do, and is a chance to ask any questions. If you can’t make that, let us know and we’ll arrange something else for you.

I hope you can help and look forward to hearing from you.
