How to keep your house really warm – March 20th –

INSULATION CELEBRATION – SUNDAY 20th MARCH

YIKES! Just got your heating bill?

- Homes lose around 67% of heat through walls, roof & floor
- 53% of our CO2 emissions come from heating our homes
- Warm homes are more comfortable

Following on from their successful September event Bristol Green Doors are holding an Insulation Celebration.

Eight Bristol homes showcasing insulation of internal or external solid walls and / or floors will be open for the public to learn from the householders or builders about a range of solutions and outcomes. There is an excellent range of houses many within a walk of Montpelier, including four homes not open in September and some reaching extremely high technical standards.

To provide a quality learning experience the householders or builders will be giving scheduled talks at specific times in which they share their knowledge and stories. Four 60 minute sessions will be held at: 10.00 a.m, 12.00 a.m, 14.30 p.m and 16.30 p.m

All visits must therefore be booked in advance through our booking system going live on March 7th. All visits are free. A maximum of 10 visitors per session.

Bristol Green Doors was inspired by a fantastic Transition Montpelier Energy focussed meeting in Feb 2010 and .. look where it has got to! So, if are thinking of refurbishing your home in any way, and want to keep the heat in, come and have a look at a home or two and think how to make your home Fit for the Future.

And…Imagine what could come out of the next big Open Meeting.
