Please see here for an update on what we’ve been up to so far.
The next outdoor session will be Sat 29th May 10am to 3pm in Picton Square. Come and tell us what you like and don’t like about urban greening so far, and what you want to see in the future!
The next planning meeting for those who want to help coordinate activities and find funding is on Weds 26th May at 8pm. Please email shiona_macp@hotmail.com for location details.
I love the new planting on the path to MP Station! It really demonstrates what Urban Greening is all about.
PS Are the salad leaves self service?
Hi Jon, glad you like it! Everything planted is for community use, so yes, self-service indeed. If you are able to water/weed something every now and then too, I’m sure the plants would appreciate it
Hi. Great results.
Can you make use of some Ash trees I have growing in pots? They are about 2-3 feet tall. Could be planted singly, or left in pots for transplanting later, or perhaps find a space for an “Ash Grove” — I have quite a few of them.
Hi Richard, yes I’m sure we could somewhere. There’s a team of people looking at tree-planting specifically, so I will mention your kind offer to them. Do you know what species they are?
Cheers,
Shiona
